In modern surgical practice there has been huge progress regarding patient’s convenience & safety. Gone are the days when big painful open cuts and scars were used. Now, even large, multiple fibroid/myoma tumors, ovarian cysts, uterine cancer can be removed by advanced gynaecological endoscopy.

This is of 2 types:

1. Laparoscopy: Few 5mm to 1 cm holes are used to perform the entire surgery. Patient discomfort is minimal, she can walk about & take normal diet on the same day & goes home the same day or the next.

2. Hysteroscopy: In this no-scar / scarless surgery, there are no holes / cuts made on the body. The entire procedure is done through the normal menstrual/birth passage, ensuring complete painless experience. This is performed in uterine cavity fibroids, septum / wall within the uterus, uterine polyp or infertility due to Fallopian tubal blockage.
